Slow Food pledges to help friends and advocates assemble and promote our mission.

We are going to:

• Create a website and have all of our dinners and events posted. We have a genius website designer.
• Start a blog
• Have a booth at local farmers markets to promote Slow Food Delmarva. This will help us give awareness of local agriculture issues, promote our events, help raise money and ultimately gain more concerned members.
• “Defend biodiversity in our food supply, promote taste education and connect quality food producers to co-producers through events and initiatives. To do this it adopts a distinctively original approach.”
• Build networks to connect producers and co-producers
• Host a battle of the chef’s competition among ten local restaurants.

We have been talking about doing a chef's competition event for over a year now and what better way to do it than to through Slow Food. It will be a regional event held in Rehoboth Beach and we would like to have all the area chapters participate. We have relations with many famous chefs and restaurateurs around the nation and will bring in many guest speakers. Have dozens of local farms donate produce. This event will be a great way to raise money for our chapter to host pot luck dinners all year long.
